The goal is to keep authentic to yourselves while also achieving the vibe you have booked me to capture!

The outcome!

It doesn’t have to be overwhelming to start styling your family.

Here are some tips when working with me.

When choosing to have me as your photographer you have likely seen my socials and fell in love with the warm and bold colours, sun-drenched locations and tone in the image.

Heres a huge tip….colours! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good blue on blue on blue and a touch of white…. BUT we can easily elevate your photos with a good mix of bold and rich colours. These tones will compliment my editing style and help you achieve the outcome you can see on my socials!

Have a look at this comparison image - same couple, same location two different outfits.

Colour pallet and colour complimenting

Not only are you choosing colours that pop, you are also choosing colours to compliment each other not match!

Heres what I would do when planning my family photos.

Step one - Find something I really like on me. This could be a pattered dress, simple solid colour or a shirt and jeans! Whatever is your vibe.

Step two - Start styling everybody around you with tones that compliment you. This doesn’t mean if you are wearing green, everybody has to be green! Find some inspiration on pinterest!

Step three - Consider layering and adding textures in other members outfits. A layer could be a cute jacket/cardigan and a texture could be a knitted jumper or waffle shirt.

Step four - Don’t overlook adding accessories! Hats actually look so cute.

Step five - SHOES! Put effort into the shoes, take away the kids bright colourful joggers and character shoes. Pop on some nice boots for dad and get something practical but cute for you - remember we are probably exploring a paddock!
